Overview

Trezor Suite is the canonical interface for Trezor hardware wallets. It centralizes device initialization, firmware updates, account management, transaction signing, and integrations with DeFi and NFT services. Suite prioritizes security: private keys remain on your Trezor device and every critical action must be confirmed on the device screen.

Download & install

1. Visit: Go to trezor.io/start and select the appropriate Trezor Suite build for your platform (Windows, macOS, Linux, or Web).
2. Verify: Always verify you are on the official domain and optionally check checksums for installers if provided.
3. Install: Run the installer and allow necessary permissions for Suite to communicate with your Trezor device.
4. Launch: Open Trezor Suite and connect your Trezor when prompted.

Pairing your device

When Suite detects a connected Trezor, follow the on-screen prompts to:

• Set or confirm a device PIN.
• Create or confirm your recovery seed (write it down on the supplied card).
• Complete any recommended firmware updates.

All sensitive input and confirmations occur on the device itself — Suite acts as a trusted companion interface.

Firmware & updates

Firmware updates are essential for security and new feature support. Trezor Suite will notify you when an update is available. During updates, follow on-device prompts precisely. If an update fails, Suite provides recovery steps and contact options for support.

Accounts & asset management

Inside Suite you can add accounts for many blockchains: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and a wide selection of altcoins and tokens. Use the "Accounts" tab to:

• Add multiple accounts per blockchain (e.g., separate wallets for personal and business use).
• View transaction history and balances aggregated across accounts.
• Generate receive addresses and verify them on-device before sharing.

Sending & receiving

To receive funds: generate an address in Suite and verify it on your Trezor device. To send funds: enter the recipient address in Suite, set fees if available, and confirm the entire transaction on the hardware device. Suite displays clear transaction breakdowns and warns about suspicious patterns.

Swaps, staking & integrations

Trezor Suite integrates exchange partners for swaps and supports staking for selected networks. Integration partners are chosen for reliability and security — fees and supported pairs vary. For DeFi and dApp interactions, Suite connects to third-party services while ensuring signatures are produced on-device.

Security model

Trezor's security model rests on three pillars: the hardware device (secure element), the recovery seed, and software that facilitates interaction (Suite). Key points:

• Private keys never leave the Trezor device.
• All critical confirmations (addresses, amounts, contract details) must be visually inspected and approved on the device screen.
• Recovery seed must be stored offline — never photograph or store it digitally.
• Use a passphrase (optional) to create hidden wallets; treat it as an additional secret that cannot be recovered by Trezor support.

Third-party wallets & dApps

Can Suite access my private keys?

What if I lose my device?

If you have your recovery seed, restore on another Trezor or compatible wallet. Without the seed, funds are unrecoverable.
